MUSIC
I’ve played musical instruments and have been singing as long as I can remember…
I learned to read music almost simultaneously while learning to read English! I started by playing a series of brass instruments in a local junior band.
After a solid push from my Mum; (I was very scared of singing in front of others) I joined the school choir and was offered a series of solos and my first taste of being a “front woman” or performer.
I continued to pursue music throughout high school, teaching myself both guitar and piano but predominately focusing on vocals and songwriting.
I was formerly signed to an indie record label (Copperfield Records – QLD, Australia)
& recorded an original EP in 2013.
I played in a live band for approximately 5 years, had some awesome opportunities and made some unforgettable memories as a result.
I’m label free now and working on new music for the first time in 8 yrs!
MUSICAL HIGHLIGHTS
- I secured the chance to open for Red Jumpsuit Apparatus & Hawthorne Heights in 2014 during their Australian tour. (Yes, I will gladly ride the coat tails of that gig for the rest of my life!)
- Nominated for an AIMA MusicOz Australian Independent Music Artist Award Alternative/Pop category for composition “Stop”.
